“We had Steve create a master suite for us in the lower floor of our house. The design that Steve came up with was beyond our expectations. He opened up the entire area and created an adult zone for us to relax and hang out. He took care to place the bedroom away from the hum of our pool house and created a spa like bathroom at the spot with a free standing tub and a rain shower and a huge dressing room. The result is an open and airy master suite that is saturated with tons of natural light. He also created a separate kids bathroom to keep them out of our sanctuary. “Steve designed our executive home of about 7,000 square feet plus a detached triple garage on a large lot in South Shaughnessy, Vancouver, BC. He was 15 minutes early for our first site appointment and had taken pictures of the lot and surrounding areas before I arrived. I was very impressed by his professionalism and approach to the project.
The house is rather hi-tech. It has geo-thermal HVAC system, on- grid solar electric panels, elevator, indoor in- ground sixty two foot long lap pool, heated drive/walk ways, HEPA air filtration system, filtered drinking water, high velocity air handling system and a host of other gizmos.
Steve was very patient in listening to what we wanted and was able to incorporate all of our wishes into his design. He was able to navigate through the City Hall’s stringent building, zoning and building permit application process requirements with little or no fuss. Best of all was when my contractor saw his package of drawings, his remarks was “I’ve never, in 21 years building, seen such a complete and detailed set of plans...” During the entire construction phase, we had no need whatsoever to call on Steve to clarify anything at all. The details were all there in the plans, although Steve did drop by on several occasions to satisfy himself that the builder was complying with his design.
We all like Steve’s quiet, unassuming but very professional approach to his work.
We’re enjoying our retirement home which represents all that we had wanted in our home, for the past 20 months. If I have to downsize, I’ll definitely consider asking Steve to do the design again.”
